The Pharmacy Network (TPN)
TPN Platform
I developed this redesign for 10 different websites, part of the Pharmacy Network (TPN). TPN is the largest pharmacy learning platform in the UK, comprises of 10 independent platforms, linked either to magazines such as the pharmacy magazine, or beauty and health retailers like Boots.
My role was of Product and Lead Designer, and worked alongside the digital director and digital editor. The project comprised of replacing an outdated website with loads of tech debt issues, with a web platform and app, for a news, CPD analysis and management platform, driving data-driven growth, with increase in page views and overall usage up to 100%. This completed the print to digital migration of one of the most important pharmacy publishing agencies in the UK.
Please see gallery below for better understanding of what it encompassed.

One of the biggest company strengths is the pharmacy staff training, producing dozens of e-learning modules, both based on editorial content and in bespoke materials. This is probably the most important cornerstone of the whole platform.

The challenge

This was a massive project that comprised of 10 websites as mentioned before. The platform had to be almost made from scratch due to old technology used in existing one, this came with obvious budget and time constraints.
The inexperience of the team (including myself for such a big project) was a barrier and things had to be tackled especially carefully.

The process

Redesigns and updates were done through a series of years, with small improvements and AB tests in some of the most used platforms, to assure effectiveness and data-driven growth. It was a slow process with a lot of learning involved, culminated with a rollout to all the platforms when all key results (conversions, number of member and engagement) were heavily tested.

Outcome

Some of the highlights in terms of success metrics would include doubling the number of members, and increasing the engagement and video/module completions by up to 30%. Nominated for multiple awards and Boots' training modules won the best training for pharmacy in 2018.
UPDATE: Due to the success of these platforms, I have been contacted by the company recently to re-design these again.

After this, my role on the e-learning modules and videos was to oversee all the visual communication processes and make sure the quality standards are met when fully implemented. (Please see images below, and e-learning project example for Maloff)

Please see below examples of the e-learning module generic template, to be used by most content existent in the platform, also the video channel, developed to provide learning materials through video.
